With the accelerated pace of global industrialization, metal resource consumption has been growing exponentially. According to statistics, global steel consumption reached 1.85 billion tons in 2023, aluminum consumption exceeded 70 million tons, and copper demand hit a historic high of 28 million tons.
Tuttavia, it is alarming that current global metal recycling rates remain generally low—approximately 85% for steel, 60% for aluminum, and even less than 20% for rare metals. This “high consumption, low recovery” model not only leads to tremendous resource waste but also poses a severe threat to the ecological environment.
WALI Metal Shredding and Recycling System Introduction
The Wali Metal Shredding and Recycling System is a high-efficiency processing solution that integrates intelligence, automation, and resource utilization. The system’s core equipment includes four shaft shredder, conveyors, metal hammer mill, PLC Integrated Line Control System. Through an intelligent control system, the entire process is automated.
This system aims to break down items containing metal into smaller pieces in order to recover and reprocess ferrous metals from the materials, ensuring maximum metal recovery and minimizing resource waste.
Process
I. Dual-shaft shredder: Equipped with high-torque capabilities, it performs pre-crushing of materials.
II. Hammer crusher: Processes pre-shredded metal by further crushing and compacting it, while removing surface contaminants and separating metals for sorting.
III. Magnetic drum separator: Used for ferrous metals. This device efficiently recovers iron-based materials after they are crushed by the hammer crusher.
IV. Eddy current separator: Used to sort non-ferrous metals, such as aluminum and copper.
V. Dust removal system: Collects dust generated during the crushing process through an air duct system.
