I. The WALI municipal solid waste recycling system begins with primary crushing via a primary shredder. The crushed material is then sorted by a star-disc screen, which uses precise vibration frequencies to separate it into:
Oversized materials (large items such as plastic bottles, textiles, wood, etc.)
Undersized materials (small particles such as organic matter, broken glass, fine plastics, etc.)
II. The sorted materials are then transported via two independent conveyors to an air separator, where they are further divided into:
Light materials (materiale plastice, fibers, etc.)
Heavy materials (denser waste components)
III. The light materials undergo a secondary shredding process using a single-shaft shredder to reduce their size, preparing them for the subsequent SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel) production system.
